Richard B. Cheney has been a public servant for a long time as well as a successful businessman. He currently serves as the Vice President of the United States. Cheney was a well-known person in Washington for many years. George W. Bush was the president of the 4th generation to which he was a part of. Bush chose Cheney to be his running mate as vice president in July of 2000. Bush cited the experience and wisdom of Cheney. Dick Cheney has served our nation as the chief of staff to a president served in the United States Congress and also servedas secretary of the defense. Both Republicans as well as Democrats appreciate his honesty. Cheney declares that he's a discreet but honest advisor to Bush during his presidency. Cheney stated that, when he accepted the Republican nomination as vice president, he looked forward to working alongside a President who will work across the political aisle to reach his objectives and work with his opponents in good faith. Richard Bruce Cheney is the son Richard Herbert Cheney of the late Marjorie Lauraine Dickey. He was born on the 30th of January 1941, in Lincoln Nebraska. At the age of 13 Richard and his family relocated across Nebraska, eventually moving to Casper where his dad was director of the U.S. Department of Agriculture local soil conservation district.
